JOB Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Salesforce.com the Developer is responsible for analyzing company processes, developing CRM workflows, building the functionalities and adapting applications for business needs. In addition the developer will prepare technical documentation, provide assistance to other developers and administrators, and test applications before deployment to the users. The Developer will plan the implementations, provide system training, and provide technical support. This person will effectively drive CRM initiatives from the conception to the completion.
This position can be based in either Cary, NC, West Palm Beach, FL, Waterbury, CT.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
  • Translate requirements into clearly defined technical tasks
  • Conduct technical design reviews, demos, and training to the users
  • Create user manuals for new applications and train users until total adoption
  • Collaborate with executives and managers to optimize salesforce functionalities and improve business processes
  • Work on data mapping and integration with applicable databases (SAP, JDE, and other key ERP systems)
  • Collaborate well with domestic and international users to gather salesforce functionality feedback for product quality and functionality improvements
  • Continuously refine the information, reporting, dashboarding, and analytical needs of the sales, marketing, and customer service functions
  • Follow the strategy and vision for building and maintaining an enterprise level CRM
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support salesforce application across the organization
  • Work with the BI Architecture team, Data Warehouse team, ERP team, and mission critical application team to define the automation requirements and enhancements to support the salesforce initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of current technology trends to remain technically aggressive in developing solutions.
  • Help to refine and manage salesforce standards.
  • Provide guidance on the best practices related to salesforce (data quality, master data management)
 
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
  • 7+ years of experience in Salesforce.com development and administration. 
  • 7+ years of experience in CRM implementations and user support
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Salesforce.com implementation cycle in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and support modules
  • Experience in Sales Force Administration Customization, Security Access, Workflow Approvals, Data Validation, Data Utilities, Analytics, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Support Administration. 
  • Strong Knowledge of SFDC standard Data structures and familiarity with designing Custom Objects and Force.com platform 
  • Proficiency in all aspects of CRM and Information Management processes, technologies and architectures.
  • Experience in working with remote domestic and international sales personnel
  • Experience with automating data load into Salesforce.com and mobilizing the application
  • Working knowledge of SAP and JD Edwards ERP systems
  • Proven ability to lead and manage all phases of an Salesforce.com implementation including user training
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analyses, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
  • Ability to communicate up and down the management chain, providing the appropriate level of detail and focus on the right information.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical people to enhance understanding and drive to decisions that lead to positive outcomes
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships at all levels in a matrix-management environment
  • Experience in managing global salesforce projects.
 
 
TRAVEL:  Normal expected travel is approximately 25%.
